Hey Pat,
I'm going to agree on your take that Okekrvil River is the most important band currently making music right now. I await the new album with the same eagerness that we used to have during finals week at pc for the buffets at pizza hut.
anyway, I wanted to draw your attention to an interesting piece done by the boston phoenix where they rank the best band, best solo artist and best current artist that each of the 50 great states of our nation has to offer. some interesting choices to be sure. alabama's choice, "wild sweet orange," have you reviewed their forthcoming record yet?
