Friday Video

We here at the Register are back to using the New Haven Video Network on the Web site; you know, the thing we used until the middle of June. Anyway, here's my video.

you're looking very autumnal in that video. was that an orange plaid shirt?

while i'm sure that's an awesome concert and all, i have to stick with my fundamental love of ethereal and sad girly music. natalie walker is at cafe nine on tuesday... and i will go out on a school night for this concert.

I believe it's somewhere between a burnt orange and umber. With the contrasting stoplight green tee. If you listen closely to the video, you can hear the sound of the Register's fashion editor...committing suicide.

Anyway -

Weddings at nearly ANY age with family are painful ordeals, but even moreso when you are over the legal age to enjoy adult beverages, yet you feel horribly uneasy about taking full advantage of that open bar because mom and dad are planted nearby. It's like some cruel trick of nature, with all that sweet, sweet anethesia so close and yet...

I feel you pain, young Pat. I feel your pain.

You guys are jealous of my orange, plaid and corduroy shirt. It's OK to admit that. It is something.

As for family weddings, let's just say that I would have had no problem enjoying the open bar if the reception wasn't more than three hours away from New Haven and if I wasn't trying to get back here in time for Steve Earle. I wanted oh-so badly to have my folks drive me and then get ripped. Didn't work.

I know nothing of Natalie Walker. She's good? Maybe I'll head over to Cafe Nine after Roger Clyne finishes his set at Toad's. I can't stress enough how good Roger is.
