Pat Ferrucci, the Register’s entertainment editor, tackles the toughest subject in life: entertainment. To him, entertainment can mean anything from music to film, from sports to television or from mundane happenings to orange juice.

He was a very good director to be sure, but few knew he was also heavily involved with music, and contributed to some of the soundtracks of his movies.
Not only did he direct in cinema, but I was lucky enough to catch a stage production of "Madame Butterfly" that he helmed. While not a big fan of opera, I have to say it was one of the great theater-going experiences of my life. Fluid, engaging and deeply compelling.
Minghella was a true Renaissance man of considerable gifts. His talents will be sorely missed. May he rest in peace.
Another enjoyable Weekend video preview, but...prop comedy? Were you channeling Gallagher? Stop listening to the camera guy, and just be yourself - that's plenty prop enough!
P.S. - That Cryptasize track sounds like somebody shot the lead singer of the B52's with an elephant tranquilizer. An acquired taste, I'm guessing?
