Daniel Street is a relatively small room. And the Milford venue has never hosted a show as big as the one that arrives tonight.
Thanks to Manic Productions, legendary indie band Dinosaur Jr. plays Milford — yes Milford! — tonight. Awesome Color opens.
Tickets are going quick, but there are a good amount remaining. Make sure to pick some up. This is not a show you want to miss. A legendary, iconic band that keeps getting better with age in a sort-of intimate venue? You better have an excuse not to come.
Daniel Street is anything but small, but compared to Toad's, the place DJr has performed at multiple times recently, it's tiny. This should be a whole lot o' fun.
One thing to keep in mind though: Make sure to bring earplugs. Look, I hardly ever wear them, but tonight you'd have to be absolute moron not to invest in at least a disposable pair. It might be smart to wear those ones that pilots sport. DJr is easily one of the top three or four loudest bands I've ever seen. And I've caught the trio more than a dozen times. Having said that, Daniel Street is a loud venue in general. So ...
Put it this way: I fear that, even with earplugs, I may end up peeing myself from loudness. That's true, man.
Oh, and, just so you know, you will get a free, tour-only 7-inch for coming to the show. Can't beat that with a stick. Nope. See you there. Here's a performance of "Forget The Swan." Awesome.

Maybe I'll see you there.
I'll be the guy with the earplugs in...standing on the porch of Stonebridge across the street.
If you sneeze in Daniel St, you're in the street. So this promises to be a real earsplitter!
P.S.
Treat yourself to tapas at Bistro Basque first. You won't be sorry.
We actually decided last night that the best place to watch the show from might be Archie Moore's. You'll only need disposable earplugs from there.
-p
You have a point!
Maybe the back room at SBC??
Anyway...
Don't know if you saw this, but...
MAJOR awesomeness!..

Following last year's inaugural event, festival producers began work immediately on resolving concerns expressed by fans in attendance. They have worked closely with their partners at NJ Transit to improve light-rail service and capacity. As an added value for 2009, festival goers who choose to travel to the site utilizing the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail line can ride for free throughout the weekend with their ALL POINTS WEST festival ticket. Additionally, based on the popularity of the ferry as a mode of transportation from lower Manhattan to Liberty State Park, the frequency and size of the ferryboats will increase at a reduced price for festival attendees. Additional details with the ferry schedule and cost is available at the festival's website. The producers have also worked with their partners at Liberty State Park to improve the fan experience in the beer gardens. This year's areas will be larger, have shorter lines, and feature shade tents, views of the stages and food concessions. Full details on the beer gardens can be found at www.apwfestival.com.
Tickets for ALL POINTS WEST go on sale Friday, April 3 at 12 Noon (ET) via www.ticketmaster.com only. Single day tix are $89 and three day passes are $199 for a limited time. The same layaway plan that Goldenvoice successfully implemented with a variety of their festivals this year will also be available for APW. Festival-goers now have the option to purchase 3-day festival tickets and 3-day parking passes on a payment plan. Layaway options (available online ONLY through May 29) are as follows: the 50% down payment option allows purchasers to pay a 50% deposit of the total order now, with the remaining 50% automatically deducted July 3; a multiple payment plan whereby purchasers initially pay 10% of the total order, with the remaining amounts automatically deducted in equal payments on May 4, June 3 and July 3. A portion of the event's proceeds will benefit "Friends of Liberty State Park." The Friends of Liberty State Park is an open space advocacy volunteer organization dedicated to the park's future as a free, green and non-commercial, urban waterfront oasis.
ALL POINTS WEST is produced by Goldenvoice/AEG Live and Liberty Event in association with the HighLine Ballroom. For up-to-the-minute information on the ALL POINTS WEST MUSIC & ARTS FESTIVAL, visit www.apwfestival.com.
