So do you want to know why I'm seriously fearing the apocalypse? Well, besides the seemingly unbeatable Patriots losing, something far more surprising just happened.
While getting ready to write some album reviews for Friday's Weekend, I popped in Sheryl Crow's upcoming "Detours" album and realized that I really like the first song, "God Bless This Mess." I mean, I really like it. This makes no sense to me. Oh, sure, Sheryl made some good songs in her career, but this tune is great. Something funny's going on ...

Don't feel dirty.
I've heard an advanced copy of this, and it's actually pretty solid throughout (I really like "Diamond Ring"). I guess, in an odd way, the adversity of the last couple of years have brought out the best in her artistically.
I believe she's just adopted a son, and seems to have beaten the cancer she was battling, so I wish her well and hope this album does well - somehow, in the cosmic sense, I think she deserves it.
P.S. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that she's still SMOKIN' hot!
Yeah, "Diamond Ring" and "God Bless This Mess" are the two best songs on the record, which is way better than I thought it would be. Surprises are good.
