OK, so...

It looks a little bit more like CNN than the old "freestyle" format. The everymoving backgrounds sometimes made me a little queasy (especially David Archuleta's giant foot). Occasionally, when a dark background comes up, the top of your head is consumed in the darkness. "Yipes," I scream, "Pat is being consumed by the darkness!" OK, not really, but it is a little creepy.

However - reservations aside, it's great to have you back in the cybersphere, and I can sleep a happier blogger having received my weekly "thumbs up."

Onward and upwards -

the space age sound effects were highly reminiscent of my recent time in Disney World, where I did not ride space mountain, but if i had, i bet i would have heard those little electronic "blurp" noises.

but i really loved the little one liners thrown up. they were reminiscent of... pop-up video and/or monty python movie credits.

Maybe you can add something like "Pat's Weird News of the Week" to your videos...

Here's one off of today's AP wire.

Mickey D's...now the home of the Happy Ending Meal...

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Here's some food for thought: If you have nude photos of your wife on your cell phone, hang onto it.

Phillip Sherman of Arkansas learned that lesson after he left his phone behind at a McDonald's restaurant and the photos ended up online. Now he and his wife, Tina, are suing the McDonald's Corp., the franchise owner and the store manager.

The suit was filed Friday and seeks a jury trial and $3 million in damages for suffering, embarrassment and the cost of having to move to a new home.

The suit says that Phillip Sherman left the phone the Fayetteville store in July and that employees promised to secure it until he returned.

Manager Aaron Brummley declined to comment, and other company officials didn't return messages.
