Pat Ferrucci, the Register’s entertainment editor, tackles the toughest subject in life: entertainment. To him, entertainment can mean anything from music to film, from sports to television or from mundane happenings to orange juice.
I was actually so preoccupied with figuring out my Halloween costume (read: how to make my hair big enough to support Sarah Palin's half up 'do), that I didn't have time to do any of these things this weekend.
Instead, I went to a fantastic Haunted House in Gloucester, Mass and the Cape Ann Brewing Company. And had so much fun, I'm doing it again on Friday.
It's in downtown Gloucester - right near the docks.
The front part is new, but the brewery has been there for a while, I guess. The guy at the taps was quite knowledgable. They had.. maybe 8 or so different beers on tap to try. I brought home a growler of Pumpkin Stout - but the IPA was good too.
If you make the trip this weekend, the HH at Hammond Castle is 5 minutes away and worth a stop (it runs Friday and Sat. night from 7 to 11 p.m.) The setting is awesome, although it was more creepy than terrifying. I'm actually driving up directly from work on Friday afternoon because I can't think of anything more fun to do on Halloween, and plan to hit the brewery on Saturday morning before heading home.

It's just nice to hear from you again.
We were getting a little lonely out here...

So where is Cape Ann Brewing Company located? I love breweries.

You can have beer for breakfast, right?
Went to Hammond Castle many years back - and you're right...it WAS great. Really creepy.
Downtown Salem is loads of fun this weekend too. Commercial to be sure, but lots of fun.
